We finally succumbed to the ‘dark side’ as my friend called it. We brought a caravan, a mobile home on wheels, a Gypsy wagon, call it what you wish, but to me it was another design project.
With our interior of our home nearing completion I needed something else to get my creative juices flowing over, before I turned to Lee and say, “Shall we start decorating the house again?” Don’t think he would be too impressed!
We had spoken about buying a caravan a few years ago, then the option to move house came up and it got put on the back burner until now.
We set about researching what it was we wanted, how many berths were needed, how much work we actually wanted to do to a refurbished caravan, as well as costings. We stuck gold a bagged ourselves a bargain a 5 berth Swift Challenger, complete with huge awning. No damp issues, just some lovely dated peach/pink velour curtains and upholstery to address. As well as adding all the extras, such as pots, pans, plates, cutlery, etc.
Seeing as we already had a Bumble, Lee’s trusty Mercedes Vito, (in canary yellow and black, resprayed recently, not my choice I add), we aptly named the new addition Bella.
I love Pinterest as many of you may already know, a great source of creativity and inspiration and set about researching ideas on how we could “pimp our caravan“.
